A useful transport plan begins with where you want to spend your time.

Start with the places, then the transport

Mark your hotel area and the stops you actually want. Check the journey between them, including station changes and the walk at each end. A nearby station on a map does not describe the whole door-to-door journey. Your available time, walking comfort and luggage help decide which route is practical.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority publishes current Metro and tram information, including operating times and interchange details. Use those sources for the day you are travelling. RTA timetables.

Prepare for the tram correctly

RTA’s tram guidance requires a nol card and tapping at the start and end of the journey. It also points visitors to its current information and planning apps. RTA tram guide.

Check your card type, fare and sufficient balance directly with RTA before boarding. Read the cabin signs and current service notices. Operating hours can change for holidays and special events, so confirm the return journey as well as the outward one.

Leave time to enjoy each area

For an independent day, choose stops that work together geographically. Add the walking, meal and return time before fitting in another attraction. If your party needs breaks, include them in the plan from the start. A sensible journey can be part of the experience rather than another task to rush through.

Request a private tour when it suits the day

A private service may suit a route with several stops, luggage or particular seating requirements. Ask for the exact vehicle and confirmed capacity. If you want onsite explanations and local stories, request a licensed guide with the language and hours agreed separately from the driver’s role.

You can ask us for an agreed private segment while planning other journeys independently. State the pickup, return, route and service you need so the written quote covers the actual request. Attraction tickets and meals are separately stated unless included.

Before travelling, check your government’s current travel advice and transport updates. Official UAE advice for Canadian travellers.
